Fall Ball, back in action.

The Rogues started the fall season two weeks earlier than most due to make-up games from the Spring. On August 13th the Rogues kicked off against Coastal United, with a promising start to the Fall season. The Rogues acquired the three points with a bang, not only defeating Coastal but with total domination with a wide margin of 8-1 over Coastal United. Unfortunately a week later on August 20th the match that was originally re-scheduled against SSJ Boston was now canceled due to a lack of player availability for SSJ Boston. This automatically gave Providence City FC (The Rogues) the forfeit victory, going down in the books as a 3-0 victory.

On to the official start of the Fall season, the rematch against our one and only defeat in the Spring season as the Rogues would face Longwood FC. Looking forward with the rematch at the Rogues home, Brown University. The Rogues gathered a rather large home crowd, gaining support from the local fans of Providence, Rhode Island. Along with the homefield advantage, the Rogues trained twice a week for 12 weeks in preparartion for this very match. Longwood FC brought their very best August 27th at Brown University, they are the most organized squad that the Rogues have played. They defend as a unit and defend well, resulting in the stalemate of 0-0. A day where both teams had their fair share of dangerous opportunities yet both team unable to execute.

Now the Rogues sit in third place behind Longwood FC and Brandeis FC Legends, the Rogues focus on their next opponent OHP Gunners this upcoming Saturday September 10th in Waltham. Each and every game weighs with the same importance where the Rogues need 3 points every week in hopes to crack the top two for a promotion into the BSSL Division 2 next year.
